Is our club’s data kept online? 

With RugbyCIO your club data (contacts, matches, members, etc.) resides on your local computer.  Sensitive people-based data is better served by an off-internet architecture.

If the data is not online what happens with the player registration data when it is submitted?

The player registration data is forwarded to the club for which the player is registering.  However, when the form is submitted, the data is first checked for validity.  After that, the data is converted to one of 2 formats: plain text for clubs which are not licensees of RugbyCIO, or a specially-coded file for licensees of RugbyCIO.  Licensees can perform a couple of clicks to import the data directly into the organization’s database with, as they say, “no muss, no fuss, no bother!”

Can the entire team view the web page or does it serve for managerial purposes only? 

Anyone can view all of the web pages at 15boots.  This site is meant to provide tools and information for all rugby groups.  This includes all people with rugby interests.

How much does the program cost?

Pricing varies widely depending upon the age level involved and the number of teams that each program oversees.  Please visit the Pricing page for details.  15boots has worked hard to bring a quality, non-cookie cutter system for rugby organizations at an affordable price.

Are there any annual fees?

There are no annual fees for program owners for at least 2 years.  Beyond that, the only fees will be for the email subscription that allows your club to seamlessly email your target audiences.  At this point the cost is $10 to $15/year. 

Can this program be adapted to other sports/events?

RugbyCIO is a division of ClubCIO which targets various clubs, groups, and organizations.  If you have a club, organization, group, league, business, etc. that needs a data and communication solution, please give us a call.

Will I need to be trained in the use of the software?

Recognizing the issues involved with maintaining data succession from year-to-year and making the assumption that everyone is familiar with web navigation, 15boots has made every attempt to create database software that functions with the ease of a web page.  A prime example is that all data-specific items - normally accessed through submenus, have been placed on buttons.  We feel that users will be up and running immediately.

Will there be any online support?

There is always support available through email.  At this time, there is no live phone-in support.  However, 15boots is committed to providing service and will make adjustments to this model to insure customer satisfaction with the software.

Typically who will be entering the data for my club?

In most cases, and under a typical management slate, either the Secretary or the President of the organization will perform the task.  If you have a position of an “information officer”, who performs internal and external communications, this would be a great fit.  In fact, we believe that such an office is very important to the success of rugby organizations.

Can I change/update data once it is entered?

As a full-featured database, there are full edit/insert/delete capabilities for all data.

Will you supply updates or patches as necessary? How will I receive them?

As necessary, all updates and patches will be web-delivered.  Program licensees will be notified by email of these instances and the emails will state directions for their downloading.

Is the “free” web page really free?

The free web page (Normal Listing) is indeed free.  However, since 15boots places emphasis on quality, if a club does not maintain this free resource, its page will be removed until the club chooses to update its information.

By utilizing the 15boots web listing, will we still need to maintain our own web site?

The 15boots listing strives to include all pertinent data important to improving communication interclub, communication intraclub, and for administrators, sponsors and supporters -- in a simple, one screen format.  We often think of this as a “rolodex” look at any rugby organization. 

That being said, the need for a personal club site is up to each club and the fit into their marketing and management plans.

At the least, the 15boots page will complement your club’s page.  For example, if you have a listing with 15boots, you will be able to have your players register with YOUR team from the 15boots site.  This saves you the considerable expense of creating and managing web data collection forms and data transfers.

Are your products for rugby teams only?

No, these products are meant to serve rugby organizations in general.  National and regional hierarchies are included in the database.  Rugby suppliers, media, referee groups, etc. can utilize the free web page.  Also RugbyCIO has the power to manage all rugby entities from individual teams, to union leagues, to select-sides, to youth leagues -- any group that oversees teams and players.
